Calling all artists 12 and under! WGECC counts blessings with a coloring contest

West Georgia Eye Care Center has many blessings to count, and our patients are at the top of the list! As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to share the gratitude with a fun way to inspire children to be grateful, too. Beginning today, the practice invites children ages 12 and under to participate in our Count your Blessings Coloring Contest with the theme, “I am thankful for my eyes.” They’ll get the opportunity to practice gratitude (and art!), AND by submitting a coloring page they’ll get the chance to win a brand new bike! Entries will be displayed throughout the West Georgia Eye Care Center campus.
The contest* opens today, November 13, and continues until noon on Wednesday, November 25, the eve of Thanksgiving.
Expert judging will be provided courtesy of the Columbus Museum of Art (!).
First-place winning pictures from each age category will be featured on this website and WGECC’s facebook page.
A grand prize winner will be randomly chosen from the first-place winners in each age category to receive a $300 gift card to Ride On Bikes!
The runners-up in the other two age categories will each receive a $25 gift card to Toys R Us!

WEST GEORGIA EYE CARE CENTER COLORING CONTEST RULES (and general information)
1.) This contest is open to all children ages 12 and under.
2.) Your completed coloring page serves as the official entry form
3.) Download coloring pages by clicking the image above (“Download your coloring page here”). You can also pick up a coloring page at West Georgia Eye Care or Ride on Bikes.
4.) Only one entry per person. Coloring must be done by hand using colored pencils, watercolors, markers, or crayons.
5.) Entries must be received by 12:00 p.m. EST on Thanksgiving Eve, November 25, 2015.
6.) Entries cannot be returned.
7.) Entries will be judged on the basis of originality and overall coloring style.
8.) Judging will take place in the afternoon of November 25, 2015.
9.) Winners will be announced Monday, November 30, on the West Georgia Eye Care Center website and facebook page.
10.) One coloring page will be chosen from each of the three age groups (5 and under, 6-9, 10-12) and those pages will be featured on the WGECC website and facebook page.
11.) One Grand Prize Winner will be randomly chosen from the finalists from the three age categories to win a $300 gift card to Ride on Bikes. One randomly-drawn runner up from the other two age categories will each receive a $25 gift card to Toys R Us. The prizes will not be mailed but must be physically picked up by the winner at West Georgia Eye Care Center.
12.) The Grand Prize Winner must allow promotional photos to be taken and displayed on the WGECC website and facebook page.
13.) All materials received will become the property of WGECC.
14.) Void where prohibited by law.
