2022 Means More for Flexible Spending Accounts

A flexible spending account (FSA) allows for participants to set aside money from each paycheck, before federal tax is withdrawn, to contribute to eligible medical bills and health-related expenses not covered by insurance. This year the federal limit for contribution amounts for FSAs increased from $2,750 to $2,850 per year. Even better news, many plans allowed roll-over from last year’s remaining contributions. Combined, this means that there is the potential to pay tax free even more out-of-pocket medical costs than ever before!
Many services provided by West Georgia Eye Care Center are eligible for payment using an FSA:
- Prescription Eyeglasses
- Prescription Contact Lenses
- Contact Lens Care
- Prescription Sunglasses
- Eye Exams
- LASIK and PRK (refractive surgery)
- Premium Lens Implants (refractive lens exchange)
- Copays
- Deductibles
It is advisable to contact the FSA provider or your company human resource department to verify the specifics of any individual FSA.
